I'm a beginner in sewing. Where do I start? | Ep. 1

A list of where to start learning to sew:

1. LEARN THE BASICS:
Start by learning the basics including the essential tools and supplies for learning how to sew. This will get you set up to start your sewing journey.

2. FREE SEWING PATTERNS:
Download these 5 free sewing patterns (Bucket Hat, T-Shirt, Hoodie, Sweatpants and Tote Bag). These are popular sewing projects to start with 🙂

3. STARTER PROJECT:
Start with the Welter Tote Bag as your first sewing project (it is one of the easier sewing projects for beginners to start with). There’s an optional welt pocket on the front that beginners can choose to add for the extra challenge.

4. OTHER SEWING DIY KITS:
Explore easy sewing DIY kits to sew your own wardrobe. Each project you take on, you’ll learn about the different sewing machine settings and fabrics needed. I find that these DIY Kits remove a lot of the guesswork, so you’ll be able to apply these same learnings to future projects.
